GroupRemix LLC ("GroupRemix," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the GroupRemix mobile and web application ("App"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
We collect information you provide directly to us, including: your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo when you register; dietary requirements, allergies, and accessibility needs you enter in your profile; location data when you enable location services; friend connections and group information; plan details and booking history; reviews, photos, and feedback you submit; and loyalty program account details you choose to link. We also collect information automatically when you use the App, such as device identifiers, IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect this information.
GroupRemix LLC uses the information we collect to: • Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features. • Personalise venue and experience recommendations based on your preferences, mood, and group dynamics. • Facilitate group planning, bookings, and communications between participants. • Send you transactional notifications, booking confirmations, and updates related to your plans. • Administer the GroupRemix Rewards loyalty program and process points transactions. • Analyse usage trends and gather analytics to enhance the user experience. • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions. • Respond to your support enquiries and feedback.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances: • Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the App, including cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and booking platform integrations (e.g., OpenTable, Eventbrite, Ticketmaster). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data. • Group Participants: When you create or join a plan, certain profile details (such as your name, avatar, and dietary preferences) may be visible to other participants in that plan. • Loyalty Program Partners: If you link an external loyalty account, relevant transaction data may be shared with that partner program. • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process. • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
GroupRemix collects sensitive health-related information, including food allergies and dietary requirements, solely for the purpose of providing personalised venue recommendations and safety alerts. This information is never sold to third parties. We apply heightened security measures to this category of data. You may update or delete this information at any time from your profile settings.
If you grant permission, we collect precise location data to provide directions, identify nearby venues, and enhance recommendations. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. We do not share your precise location with other users unless you have explicitly enabled the "Share with Friends" setting within the App.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data. • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions. • Portability: Request that we provide your data in a portable, machine-readable format. • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via your notification settings or by contacting us directly. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or fraud prevention purposes.
GroupRemix LLC implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixel tags) to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse how the App is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
The App may contain links to third-party websites, booking platforms, or services. GroupRemix LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the App.
The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. GroupRemix LLC is based in the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
